KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 (Bernama) — Netccentric Ltd, one of Malaysia and Southeast Asia’s leading social commerce platforms, has proposed a name change to Xamble Group Ltd to reflect its new mobile influencer platform and build it into Asia’s largest digital society.
The name change is set to diversify revenue streams and provide new growth opportunities as the company leverages on content to influence purchasing decisions, the Australian Securities Exchange-listed entity said in a statement here today.
Xamble, which also has offices in Malaysia, has worked with more than 300 brands including KFC, Unilever, P&G and Hasbro.
It has access to over 20,000 influencers who reach over 20 million consumers in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan through its influencer marketing arm, Nuffnang.
Executive chairman and majority shareholder Ganesh Kumar Bangah said Xamble’s innovative social commerce platform turns engagements between social media influencers and followers into revenue and sales.
“The new platform empowers influencers to better monetise their content and networks,” said Ganesh, adding that the name ‘Xamble’ (pronounced ‘x-em-bl’) was inspired by the group’s vision of ‘Assembling Communities’ to deliver prosperity and value to its ecosystem of brands, influencers or ‘creators’, and consumers.
